The big adventure is creeping closer and closer, we’ve been really naughty and left everything till last minute.
For now, tickets are booked and vaccinations have been given.
Beth finished work a few days earlier than me. Handing it my notice was the most nerve racking thing I’ve ever done. We celebrated our last day at work by having a picnic in the park, we drank champion and ate cheese and crackers. It was a really lovely day, setting the tone of the huge step we had taken and the great adventure that lay ahead.
Now it’s time to make the most of the last few weeks with family and friends. Leaving them behind is going to be the hardest thing of all. I just wish every one of them was coming with us too. Knowing you’re not going to see your loved ones for a whole year really makes you realise how much they mean to you.
Now it’s time to pack!
